We finally got the Christmas tree up. I wanted to do it while everyone was here and maybe some help could be had, but everyone had a good time watching me do it by myself. That's okay, this way I got to do it the way I wanted and this year I didn't get any scratches from the stinkin' tree!! yay!

Tuesday we had plans to go to Seattle. As I said before, we don't have the room for everyone in one vehicle, so my parents decided to rent a van for the next two days, Seattle and Mt. Rainier. Such FUN days, would stink to be in two different vehicles!
The first thing on the list was to do the Underground Tour. If you ever come, it is great! But I've done it FOUR times now, and the last time was just a month before they came with my cousin Anna. So Aaron and I decided to walk around the city and have some coffee (even though we knew we were getting coffee at the original Starbucks later :), but it was COLD!!). Here are some pics I got.
Pioneer Square -- a scary part of town, especially at night by yourself, not that I've done it.

There's really old buildings (the oldest in the city) and this really pretty overhang.

Then we walked down to the water to get some pics of the Olympics. We can't see them real well from our house and Chuck always wants me to stop on this highway near the house to get pics at the most inopportune times, so I thought this was a great day!

And the Seattle waterfront

And in this pic you can see the infamous viaduct that they can't decide what to do with because if they have another earthquake, yada yada yada. Also, the white tower is the Smith tower. It used to be the tallest building in Seattle. Needless to say, it is not anymore!

Next Aaron and I had about 20 minutes or so to kill so we went to the city library, even though we knew we were going there as well, but we wanted to go inside somewhere! We'd been there before, but Aaron was too young (a year ago) and we didn't even go into the kid part. But they have a ton for kids to do!

Next was Pikes Place Market. Actually the Starbucks, and then the Market. It's so dead during the week, especially when it's 0* outside!

Then back to the library. Well, when Aaron figured out they had computers, with little mice his size, he didn't leave them alone til we left. He couldn't figure out what to do with them, and didn't want the headphones on his head so he could hear the talking and music, he just wanted to pound and click.

And at another computer

And at yet ANOTHER computer, one that doesn't even work. But it has keys!

You know it's cold when you see Dad wearing a coat and a hoodie. He also had a hat and gloves!

Having fun with Grandpa and the computer, another one.

This is the music museum. I've heard it's cool but I've never been in it, just looks fancy.

The Space Needle and the elevator coming down

Dana and Andy at a sculpture near the Space Needle

I'm signing off! Check back tomorrow!

Looks like fun. Yes, we can't decide on our silly viaduct, but the Seattle waterfront will be beautiful one way or another. Great trip for the little one.
