Merry Christmas (early)

We had an early Christmas before we have our normal Christmas. Grandma and Grandpa Kampmann came in town along with Aunt Dana and future Uncle Andy. Unfortunately the day they came to town my point and shoot was having on/off problems (it sounded like a meat grinder) so I had to take it in as soon as possible because who knows how long it was going to take to get fixed!! Thankfully, Uncle Andy (we'll just start calling him that) bought Aunt Dana a new point and shoot. I apologize ahead of time, because (now, I'm not being biased) mine totally rocks compared to hers. But these will just have to do!
I have started taking Aaron to the park sometimes. He's still a bit small and still takes tumbles at home on level ground so I feel like I have to be there all the time because who knows what he thinks he can do or what he's going to fall off of. Plus it's a bit cold here, especially when the family came to town! Holy moly, was it cold! I don't think I've ever seen 6* on the Jeep thermometer here before, we hit record lows for highs! For some reason, he really liked the bridge. He wouldn't do anything else!

Now, we couldn't go with Chuck to pick the family up because we don't have a vehicle big enough. Both of our vehicles hold 5 people max. Obviously we have three just in our little family, so we couldn't go. So Chuck went and picked everyone up after work and brought them all back to the house for lasagna here. When Aaron heard the garage door open he knew Daddy was home and was getting very excited and was peeking around the corner and then someone he didn't recognize walked in the door. He flipped out! He's used to going to get family members from the airport so there is a warming up period between actually seeing people and then them attacking him for hugs and kisses. He didn't have the warming up period and freaked out a bit. But it only took about 10 minutes for him to get used to all of them at the house.
Saturday the girls and guys split up, they went fishing while us girls went to see bridesmaid dresses and to the mall. It was a nice, relaxing day. On the way home I stopped at Stadium High School. Dana has asked me every time she's come to visit to take her there and we never have time or it never actually works its way into our schedule. But this time we had some time and Aaron was asleep in the car after trying on all those bridesmaid dresses, we stopped by there. Have any of you seen "10 Things I Hate About You?" With Heath Ledger (before he was super famous? I LOVED, and still do, that movie! I've seen it a million times. Well, soon after we moved here I discovered that it was based in Tacoma, at Stadium High School, an actual high school. While I worked at Tacoma Lutheran Home, many of our residents and patients went to Stadium. So a couple of my coworkers took me there. I was so excited, I think they thought I was nuts (I don't think they'd seen the movie). Here's a couple pics, you might recognize them from the movie.

And then Sunday after church we went to Farelli's, a wonderful local pizza place that is, well, wonderful! They have great everything! Aaron started pulling on his ears (he gets so tired after church because there's no nap in the morning and then it's time to eat quickly and go to bed) so I started pulling on his ears. He thought that was hilarious!

Here's Aaron with Aunt Dana

After we went to Best Buy to drop off my camera, we went to the park with Aaron. I think it was about 20* here so we didn't stay too long. Buurrrrrrrrrrrr!

He immediately found the bridge

It looks like this is a slide, but I don't think it is. It was like a mogul slide. Odd.

Here's a couple videos of the park

The Grandpa helped show Aaron how to shoot his gun.

And after Uncle Andy got over his phobia of touching Aaron, great strides were taken

And Aaron has started giving kisses. I think he pushed the envelop here with Uncle Andy

Then it was time for another haircut. It gets so matted in the back, so we let Grandpa do the honors (sorry for the blurry pictures -- Nikon)

Silly boy!

Then he tried to put on my boots...

And then walk

Alright, that's all for now! Check back tomorrow for MORE adventures!
