Forgive me

Wow, I suck!!  I can't believe how long it's been for a real blog post.  I wouldn't doubt if some of my followers just never come back.  Why would you, it's been so long.  Just a sec, I need to go start the sprinklers...

Okay.  So my plan is to go through a handful of images each day and post more.  I have a lot to catch up on and I have some AMAZING pictures.  And I want you to see them!

June 30, 2012, Chuck finished up his fellowship.  I seriously think he was so excited that he was going to cry.  I know me and the kids DID cry!!  WE were so excited.  All I can say is that was a super hard year.

The next day we left for vacation.  Yes, that's right, June 30 he got done with work at 4pm, drove up to WA, we unloaded a HUGE trailer of stuff from the rental house in Portland at 9:30 at night, went to bed and left the next morning for a 10 day road trip.  With two kids.

In the couple of days prior to that, I had a newborn shoot and edited the images for my client so I didn't have to worry about them while on vacation and sent them off.

Here is the first couple of days on vacation.

We had already seen a couple of wildfires this second day south of Salt Lake, but not this close.

Gosh, you could even see the flames in this one.  Buuuuuuuttttt........

Then we got to pull over and STOP near the fire!!!  Or, what normal people would call, run out of gas.

Anyway, later that day this is what we saw on the way to our campground.  Way on the horizon is Zion.  Completely amazing.

THEN!  We saw ANOTHER ONE!!!  Oh, we'll get into this one, because it just happened to be right over the ridge from where we camped...

10 days with two little ones? Ha! Try 30 days of 10 hours driving each day in a camper with four teenagers and a husband who wants to stop (and does) every quarter mile to look at a bear or a deer/elk/sheep or other four-legged beast along the road. 50 degree temps and drizzly almost the entire time, on gravel bumpy roads. Oh! Let's do it again, dear!
