We've had a busy couple of weeks!! Now that we know we are headed back to Fort Lewis it's time to start looking for housing and such, but finding TIME to actually do that is the problem. Not thinking ahead, and going on living our lives, we've planned a LOT of stuff over the next month and a half. Plus Chuck actually having a job throws a wrench in things, we can't necessarily go up during the week to get things done...
But this is to catch you up on some pictures and events that I haven't posted about recently!
We LOVE pad thai. LOVE it. We really miss our favorite Thai place in Lacey, so glad we'll be able to go there soon!! This was my first attempt at pad thai, and it didn't over too badly! I just need to remember to not cook the noodles so much next time.
It was Dr. Seuss's birthday just a couple weeks ago and our local library had a birthday party. It was really nice and we'd never been to that library before. Super busy, but the kids had fun making door knob hangers... (which now do not exist because Aaron tore his already)
Playing with their friend, Christopher and his mommy, Sandie. She's my friend from bible study.
...getting tattoos...
...playing Twister for the first time (he did REALLY well!!)...
...playing a balancing game....
This is Delaney's try.
...and getting a picture with Dr. Seuss himself! (HERself...)
It was a nice trip to the library. The normal as of late is pitching an absolute fit before we leave a place. He did very well.
Delaney happy to get a snack. She eats non-stop but she just doesn't gain too much weight. She's almost up to 20 pounds!
Delaney's first trip to the dentist. Not a fan as Aaron was his first time, but he was also older for his first appointment.
A couple weeks ago Aaron had a field trip to a local pizza joint. This is his AMAZING preschool teacher, Mrs. Nolan.
Then they got to EAT the pizza!!!!
This kid LOVES school buses!
So, I don't have Delaney feed herself much, it's just such a mess and all that hair... But I let her do it, she actually didn't do too badly, just a lot on her chin.
This is after her nap. She got some yogurt in her hair and this is the aftermath...
Then Noah and Mimi came to visit!!!! On their first night here we went to Incredible Pizza. Aaron loves this place...
Noah doesn't do many rides but he wanted to do this one over and over again. He was a virtual ride where you have noises and wind and you watch a roller coaster or a plane or train on the screen in front of you (which can wreak just as much havoc on your head as the real thing!). He loved it!
This is Delaney behind the chairs where the wind was coming at her and she held onto the chairs while they whipped around.
Then Noah's birthday happened while he was here and we got to go to an indoor play area. Most of the pictures I took were on Mimi's camera, but I had to get one of Delaney. She loves this place and does really well on her own! Just have to stay close to her so the other (older) kids don't run over her. I look forward to the day where I can be like the other parents and read and drink a coffee while the kids play like crazy.
That night we celebrated Noah's birthday!!
The boys did lots of playing together!
The last day they were here we ventured out to the mall so the kids could play in the free play area.
They also got some train play time in at the house.
And the last night we went to IHOP. Noah wanted to go to MmmBob's (Bob Evan's) but we don't have those here.
Then they read stories before bedtime.
After Mimi and Noah left, that night we had leftovers. Delaney enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes. Another mess...
And her GG face. Hamming it up for the camera.
Gosh, this post was full of Delaney. I'll be sure to include more Aaron in the next post!! :)
