A Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

Well, Mimi and Aunt Kami left with the boys, and funny story, they went to the airport with Chuck's Truck with Aaron, met my parents there, did the whole switcheroo while Aaron was asleep and when I woke up again they were headed back down to Dupont (where I was meeting them) and he was with different people. I heard he was a little shocked! I thought it was funny...

We met at Farrelli's a local pizza place, SOOOOO good!!

We didn't do a whole lot else that day. Mom and Dad were tired from traveling and by the time we got done with pizza it was the middle of the afternoon anyway. We basically went home and crashed for the rest of the night.

The next day we went to the park, the kid can't get enough of the park and I was tired and worn out from four kids in the house. We just wanted to chill out and wait for the more exciting things for early the next week.

This kid is a daredevil!!

And he met a little girl there, Lucy.  She was super sweet, and no, he didn't get her number.

Like I said, we didn't do a whole lot, but Monday we went to the Woodland Park Zoo. My family is made up of zoo people, we love the zoo, too bad the ones around here charge you a kidney to get in! It was a bit chillier than we'd expected and Aaron was a little more obnoxious than we expected, but it worked out and had a good time. We stayed almost til closing time!

We saw birds

And hippos

And climbed on hippos

And giraffes

And lions

And monkeys

Yes, Aaron was being difficult

And climbed trees!

This was at the meer cat area. He had fun while we chilled out a bit.

The otters were pretty cool. Very active.

Then we went to the farm area where they had sheep and goats and cows and a tractor!!!  Notice the little girl is driving...

Aaron patiently waits his turn to drive so he looks at the tires.

Now he's driving.

He loves tractors!!

Look!!  There's a baby flamingo!  It was so cute!

It's definitely fall.

And he got to climb on a monkey, too!

All in all, it was a great day!
