First motorcycle ride, and a video

First the video, for Noah!

Hope you enjoy it little man!!
Chuck and I went for our first real motorcycle trip this past weekend. There's got to be some changes to make it a bit more comfortable for me, but it was such a nice day and GREAT views!!! Here are just a few pics:

If you can't tell, I am on the very edge of a cliff. There is nothing below me except for the tiny Nisqually River, a lot of rocks, and about 500 feet. Nice!

This is the Nisqually River behind us; this river comes near our house and it's a bit bigger in Yelm. It's funny to see it so small and rocky here!

We rode down from Rainier and went through the National Forest to get to another little town, Packwood. This is what we saw there:

He was so cute, his antlers just growing back. He passed right in front of us so I grabbed the camera and took some pics. There was another one in someone's yard near where we stopped to take a break but he was too far away to get any shots.

This is where we took the dogs three years ago to hike. So much of this area is National Park, so you can't take the dogs, but this particular part is the National Forest, so they are allowed. Frustrating that we can't even take the dogs if they're on leashes, they LOVE to hike!!!

This time we went mid-July (obviously). Last time we went mid June. This is what we saw then:

If you look at the second picture in the last section (right below the shot of Mt. Rainier), you can see a trail going through the pic about a third of the way down from the top. These last two pictures were taken right about there. The dogs kept running down the side of the mountain where there was a ton of snow. I was so scared they were going to slide all the way down the stinking mountain! If you look at the pic with not as much snow, you can see how steep it was. Scary!!

Well, we had a great time together. It was weird not being with Aaron for so long; I think that was the first time we've left him for that long! I think our next Mt. Rainier trip needs to be with the dogs back to this last spot so we can all hike together...come one out, it's a great time!

Noah just LOVES all videos of Aaron. He has the cutest laugh -- like his mommy's! I personally love the "man-bag." :) Funny how they pick up on the idea that a "trip" or "trek" requires a personal bag. If that isn't the funniest thing...Thanks for posting -- love all the pics!

Noah especially likes the truck/shovel digger & tractor wallpaper! More! More! Papa watched -- don't know who was laughing more -- him or Aaron. hahahahahaha

I laugh every time I watch this. :) You might consider for now getting a rubber-backed cushiony floor mat for the bottom of the stairs to soften any falls as he plays on/climbs on the stairs--at least until he gets a little bigger & more sure on his feet. Don't need any head bonks on the hard floor!
