Aaron and I prepared for our trip very well. Just since June when we flew back he's changed so much that I found myself taking different amounts of different items completely! I made a list and checked it off as I went. That helped a lot. And of course there are websites that help you remember what kinds of things you should remember because you don't use some of the stuff all the time so sometimes it's hard to remember those important things. I ended up taking two checked bags, one for me and one for him. I could have stuffed it all into a monstrous suitcase but since they have decreased the weight limit, that wasn't going to work. And I ended up with two carry-ons. I could have done with one, but I wanted to be prepared since I was faring this on my own.
The day before we left was very iffy because he was very cranky during my bible study (I take him with me, he used to sleep through it!!). I thought he was teething or growing or something. Some of the girls told me about teething tablets. So I went to Target straight away and got some at the pharmacy counter. I gave two to him that afternoon (they said to give him three). They didn't work very well. Chuck, who hadn't gotten home yet, asked what they were, medicine or something else. I told him I wasn't sure. I was so harried! He got home and said that the bottle said beladonna. The only thing I know about this drug is from the movie "Pracital Magic." It's what they give Nicole Kidman's boyfriend who beats her and he dies because they gave him a whole lot of it. He looked it up in one of this med school books and said that it make them sleepy and it lowered their heart rate. So I stopped giving them to him. Now Target won't take them back. Whatever! So I bought Orajel at Walmart the morning we left, the night stuff and regular stuff. I figured you couldn't have too much of it. And I took Tylenol and gas drops.
He did very well on the plane ride, slept the whole way. It helped that it was his naptime. I fed him as we took off and then fed him on the way down which tided him over for dinner until we could stop and grab something to eat on the way home. He was very tired. Just all the travelling I think he was worn out, plus all the "new" people and everyone holding him. But he did pretty well.
Basically, long story short, we had a relaxing time in KC, then we made our way to Columbia so I could see a friend and she could meet Aaron. Then we went to Fulton to spend a few days with Kami and Preston and Noah. That was nice and I got to see downtown Fulton and their new church. Their house is so cute! And then we made our way to St. Charles for a day and then Dana and I flew back here that Saturday.
When we got back here we just hung out for a few days, by then Chuck was already on nights so we tried to stay away from the house as much as possible. Then Mom, Dad and Grandma (G-Gma) came to WA on Tuesday. We had a nice few days, tried to stay away from the house while Chuck slept during the day, had a nice Thanksgiving with the family and a couple of friends from the south who don't have family around and then Dana, Dad, and G-Gma left on Friday. Mom stayed until Wednesday, and we just hung out and did a little shopping and relaxed. It was nice.
Now for some pictures!! I took a lot of videos but those will have to wait because they take a while to upload and I forgot to do that while we went for his check-up this morning, which went well. He is still small, height- and weight-wise, but we are feeding him rice cereal now and moving on to fruits and veggies! I'm sure he'll bulk up soon.

Love all the cute pics! Can't wait to see the videos. I miss him already...
He's adorable! And he looks very happy.
He'll be horrified by the glow worm picture when he gets older. :-)
Aaron looks SO happy to be hanging out with friend Heather. :) Looks like Ruby tried to sneak her way into the pic too.
I know Brance, that's the best part!!
