Plus he got to meet tons of family members...

He did very well on both plane rides. He cried right before hand, but I figured it just let people know he was there and they would avoid us. We had to sit with a stranger only once on all four flights. On the flight from KC to Denver there was a couple with a baby (less than a year) and he was fine...until they got on the plane and then he was pretty much unconsolable. The dad kept asking me and Kristin how we kept him quiet.
The dramma was actually before we even left town. We had a doctors appointment and they weighed and measured him. He had lost 6 oz. (down to 6 lbs. 14 oz.) from the previos week (remember the moms group???). I was so upset because things had been going really well...he was eating well, things weren't quite as painful, etc. Well, we went to the moms group again that day and re-weighed him and it was almost a pound higher (7 lbs. 11 oz.)! Obviously something was off. The lactation consultant had already made an appointment with me for the following day because we were leaving the next so we decided to go ahead and keep it. Same thing, so the doctor's scale was off. THANK GOODNESS!!!! It made me feel SO much better!
We had another doctor's appoitment this Wednesday, set up previously to our trip because of his weight. He was 8 lbs. 6 oz. Almost a whole pound in 2 weeks!! It was great. He is still a little under 50% for all of his measurements but that's okay, as long as he is growing, I don't care!! But we already knew he weight would be okay, but I kept the appointment because while we were home I got sick as a dog from my lovely nephew, Noah (sorry Kami), and then Aaron got it. So we wanted to get that checked out. Also, since I had been practically caughing up a lung for a week, my incision started to leak some puss. That was nice, so I wanted to get that checked out as well. Chuck was wonderful enough to get most of it out, but I thought I'd get it checked out by a doc that actually sees patients on a daily basis. It was fine. I guess Chuck knows what he's doing sometimes...
That's about it around here. We are just trying to get caught up with housework and sleep. Kristin just left today...oh, yeah!! We took our first ferry ride. I hope everyone's fourth of July was awesome!
