First, this is what we saw driving into Jasper!!
Our first night (we stayed 2), the kids decided that the tree we were camping near was great for climbing.
The next day is when we went into town for some laundry services.
First we went to the visitor center to get their dog tag and booklets.
This one made Aaron and Delaney take an oath. Delaney participated in spirit.
After laundry (sorry, no pics of that), we went for a hike around a local lake.
We found ACTUAL quicksand!!
Then the kids wanted to wade in the water.
Which then turned into swimming.
Then we went back to the camper to hopefully find some elk. We saw a herd of these on our first night. So we set out the second night and saw a ton right next to our own campsite. They were awesome and didn't disappoint (this is where I start inserting big camera images).
Then there's this lady. Getting within about 10 yards of a cow.
Then she decided to cop a squat right near our site.
We headed to the field we we'd seen the herd the night before and saw them again, all laying around.
On our way back we saw THREE babies right near the cow that had laid down near our site.
This was downtown Jasper.
We rode into town after dinner to grab some ice cream. :)
Side note, as we were riding I attempted to take out my phone to capture the riding image. While doing so, $40ca flew out of my pocket!! Took me a while to find them because it was windy and they'd blown a bit, I really started to think that I didn't grab them before we left like I thought. But with God's grace, I found the bills and we were on our way. Whew!!
