First, while Chuck's dad was in town, I ended up taking Aaron to a local farm store to look for a photography prop (which they didn't have) and they had baby chicks! He got to pet them and then I got real brave and even let him hold one. He just wanted to keep going back and keep going back, it was too cute!
Delaney is big enough to sit in her exersaucer. She hasn't completely gotten the hang of it yet, but here is Aaron sharing his hat with her. I think he's trying to distract her so he can play with all the toys on it.
And here's Papa. This is one of the few times he actually got to sit with Delaney in his lap. Poor guy, he ended up so sick...
And we went to a place called the Crab Pot while he was in town. He'd printed off information for 3 different restaurants he would like to go to, but all of them were in Seattle. So we picked one and the next time he comes out, maybe we'll take a trip up to Seattle to visit another. But he'll probably find other places in Portland to visit.
This was all our food!!! Good grief!
The shrimp still had the heads on them. I wasn't too fond of that, but I got over it.
And this was the clean-up. Not much left!!!
Aren't they cute together???
And Chuck's 30th birthday party. People keep asking for pictures, but really, I didn't take many! This is about it. We're not the wild and crazy folk people seem to think we are!
Seriously, this is what we ended up doing (besides eating). Frank stacked plastic cups. It was entertaining...especially when Aaron knocked them all down.
The only reason he stopped after this was because there wasn't anymore room between the cups and the ceiling! And they're vaulted ceilings!
But we did have lots of food. This is what Northwesterners pack food in for doggie bags. They are actually BAGS! I had to take a pic of this for my moms...thought they'd get a laugh.
And Dave and Michelle, our med school roomies, came out to the Northwest last week!! Dave's dad lives in Tacoma and he had a chance to come to a conference in Seattle so we had to meet up. It was so nice to see them again. The last time we saw them was back in 2007. Actually they were the VERY first people we told when we found out Aaron was going to be joining our family!!
And Delaney can hold her own bottle now! It's so nice. She's onto baby food now and has slept through the night for 2 weeks straight. YAY for food!! Aaron was so quick at it, seemed like Delaney was NEVER going to sleep through the night...
HOW STINKIN' COOL IS THIS?!??!?!?!?!?! I am SO excited about my new mixer. I have the GREATEST clients!!!! They GAVE this to me when I went to their home for a photo shoot. Seriously. Excited.
And here are some pictures of Delaney. I've been needing to take some 6 month pictures of Delaney but
1. it's been monsoon season.
2. she doesn't sit up yet so there's not much she can do of anything interesting.
I did my best with a two year old running in front of me wanting me to take HIS picture.
Hope you're appeased for now!!
