DC

We (and when I say "we", I mean "I") are enjoying DC! It's kind of weird to be back here again. I got a little lost going from our hotel to Walter Reed, mainly because I never really took that route before, never had to. But there is super nice weather here and I've gotten to see an old client for lunch last week, we went to VA this past weekend to visit one of Chuck's cousins and his wife and little girl, Haddie, and we've gotten to spend a bunch of time with Chuck. He's probably skipping his classes more than he should but they have two entire books filled with the information they are going over the in classes. To explain what he's doing here, it's a review course for his boards that he takes in one year. Quite a ways away but I guess you should get a jump start on it. He has three board exams, one physics exam that he took at the beginning of September (he's still not found out how he did on it), he has his written boards next September and then he has orals the next June (almost 2 years from now). He'll be busy with important tests over the next couple years.

Aaron and I got here Wednesday last week. Thursday was our first lunch date with my old client, Carol. It was so nice to see her and hear about what her family has been up to. She is also originally from St. Louis and her dad was actually at Missouri Baptist for a hip replacement a few years ago while I was there so I got to meet him as well. He was also a radiologist and I think he was also in the military! Friday we spent all day on the mall and at Arlington. It was VERY nice! Chuck came down and spent half the day with us. Saturday we left for Pulaski and spent the weekend with Brance, Lauren and Haddie. Brance preached on Sunday at church and they are getting ready to move to Boston next spring to plant a church! Currently he is doing a lot of Bluegrass production and things that go along with that but that will all be on hold (sort of) while they make the transition. We just got back last night and went to the zoo. The St. Louis Zoo is much nice, bigger and has more animals, but this is a free zoo as well. We came back so Aaron could take a nap, Chuck could do some laundry and he also just called me to let me know he was done with his interview with THE head honcho of army radiology. Basically he was to call this colonel so the guy could ask him why he wanted to extend his commitment to the army, do more radiology and such. Apparently it went well.

So now, I'll be wrapping up. I'll post one picture but that's it for now.

I need to go so I can do more photography stuff. I have FOUR session that I am waiting for people to order pictures from. I'm excited but nervous for making that next step. I really need to focus now on marketing myself and making EVERYTHING in my business black and white, which is surprisingly harder than it sounds. Plus I am going to sign up for some more vendors that I've been waiting to sign up for (you have to be a professional). Very exciting but very nerve-wracking!!! Check out my updated blog with my very new logo!!
